TITLE:                         Sr. Security Architect (Physical Security Systems)

 SUMMARY 

 

 

The Senior Security Architect – Global Security is a Seattle based position focused on providing management support to locations throughout the world including Corporate Facilities, Retail (including Affiliates), Business Development, Legal, and our Customer Service teams by providing security services and related support.  The selected candidate will develop and coordinate a program to periodically test the access control system and facility occupants and security team members' adherence to policies and procedure thereby ensuring the hazards/risks are identified and that the system is working as intended.  He/she will also conduct root cause analysis to identify program gaps and then support customers in the development of the actions needed to resolve identified issues and mitigate risks.  The Senior Security Architect will also assist with the identification of contractors that internal customers can utilize to conduct maintenance on the physical security systems deployed throughout Seattle.  There are no direct reports.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

·         Perform program duties associated with delivering complex strategic access management solutions, and managing the program budget.  This includes planning and establishing policy for shared ownership and diverse stakeholder groups.

·         Researches, designs, develop and implements security/protection system technologies for the organization’s security systems and applications.

·         Coordinate, design, upgrade, convert and oversee service alarm systems, access controls, video cameras, burglary, radio systems, and other physical security equipment.

·         Define physical security system standards, required upgrades, maintenance and day to day management of all security systems through system integrators and/or internal resources.

·         Advise and assist with external vendor relationships to ensure the viability of all physical security systems. Legacy, existing and new with the goal of minimal business disruption resulting from failed or improperly configured systems. Implements technology solutions aligned with Company security strategy and budget guidelines.

·         Maintains an in-depth knowledge of state of the art security equipment standards and technology encompassing all physical security products.

·         Provided system solutions to specific security concerns identified through customer requests and security audits.

·         Conducts surveillance of security/video server protection measures and develops measurement tools for health monitoring and system vulnerability assessments.

·         Develops/oversees and maintains operational processes to ensure security standards are maintained with appropriate procedures for Lenel hardware/software integrity.

·         Develops and administers processes for annual audits foe various access control systems.

·         Acts as primary contact for security system(s) emergency issues and management.

·         Provides product research, feasibility studies, project planning, tracking and quality assurance and overall vendor communication and management.

·         Advises and assists in annual security system budgeting process.

·         Provide weekly update to appropriate Company management on the “State of the System”; including but not limited to any concerns or suggestions as well as open action items.

·         Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and or installations performed on the Lenel System.

·         Maintain an inventory of all equipment for the Lenel System.

·         Prepare and present ACS/VMS reports for Company Security.

·         Interface with other regional administrators in configuring and managing hardware and software.

·         Manage all ACS/VMS standard software updates on managed servers. Manage local data interfaces to ACS/VMS as required.

·         Supervise access levels, time zones, holidays, local and global hardware linkages.

·         Supervise custom alarm configurations and other required software configurations..

·         Assist in GSOC disaster recovery activities.

·         Serve as the LENEL trained technical resource handling both ACS/VMS Regional hardware and software configuration changes.

·         Conduct surveys on behalf of Global Security Management.

·         Plan software updates and assist in scheduling daily activities for maintenance and installations.

·         Assist in new technology evaluation for future ACS/ESS applications.

·         Provide emergency Systems Administrative capability as required for the Enterprise System.

·         Incumbent will be able to effectively lead and manage multiple Lenel infrastructure, software and hardware deployments pertaining to Security and Identity Management, including new and existing systems on multiple vendor platforms from operating system administration, software installation, day to day maintenance, and upgrades to security hardening.

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

 

  • 7 plus years as a successful senior manager in a multi-location corporate environment.
  • 5 plus years experience in customer service driven environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required and MBA is preferred.
  • LENEL - Certified at the Master Administrator level and authorized to administer current and future LENEL software applications. Successfully administer the next software version 6.6.22 upon release.
  • Have the core competencies of an IT Specialist; capable of troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware and software related to the ICAM LENEL* system.
  • Customer focused and results oriented leader possessing strong influencing skill and comfortable working in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
  • Proven ability to work with and effectively persuade facility site leaders and senior management.
  • Analytical leader experienced in performance based, action and results oriented management, strong project manager and effective problem-solver.
  • Comfortable being a hands-on manager that actively acquires knowledge of and the ability to demonstrate the effective use of established and leading edge technology, software, processes, critical information and data as well as equipment and tools required for success in your area.
  • Demonstrated skills, aptitude and knowledge of computer systems.
  • Significant experience managing an enterprise wide customer service operation.
  • Work effectively in a culturally diverse work group.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of Company personnel.
  • Excellent skills utilizing Excel (pivot tables a plus), Word and Microsoft Project required and familiarity with dbases querying and analysis a plus.
