JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for working directly with the Microsoft (MS) client and other vendors providing design, survey, audit consulting and other professional security services to ensure Venture Integration (VI) projects meet MS critical infrastructure physical security baseline requirements. Duties include security system design, project management, physical risk analysis, and site surveys in both the U.S. and abroad.

The Security Consultant must be a team player with strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects across geographic and organizational boundaries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Â
·        Interviews and collaborates with client personnel to identify physical security risks associated with specific Microsoft sites. Conducts surveys and security audits of physical security systems at Microsoft owned and leased sites which are being integrated into Microsoft’s critical infrastructure physical security baseline requirements.
·        Compiles survey and audit information into comprehensive reports identifying security modifications and recommendations; drafts report summaries and electronic maps with links to site information and photos. Delivers final reports to Microsoft stakeholders.
·        Provides project management and integrator oversight services and detailed project status reports to Microsoft executive management and key stakeholders. Communicates issues and recommendations for resolution to Microsoft Security Group Manager.
·        Designs security systems and modifies existing designs while maintaining currency with industry best practices and state of the art design guidelines utilized by Microsoft Security Consulting Team.Â
·        Works with a team and/or individually to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with established deadlines and within prescribed specifications.
·        Collaborates across groups such as Security Operations, the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and other Security Consulting groups to overcome challenges and deliver results.
·        Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY
Â
Education/Experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. CPP, PSP or CSPM strongly preferred. 5+ years of physical security design consulting, and security project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.Â

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):
·        Detailed knowledge of electronic access control hardware and software systems, analog / IP video hardware and software system configurations, and alarm hardware and system configurations. Data center and Lenel experience a plus.
·        Detailed knowledge of security technology and emerging trends.
·        Knowledge of operations of a 24 x 7 monitoring center.
·        Knowledge of the physical construction of security related controls including but not limited to doors, elevators, vehicle barriers, key hierarchies, and access matrices.Â
·        International security risk assessment and audit experience.
·        Strong written and oral communications skills.
·        Experienced user of MS Office including Project, Sharepoint and Groove.

·        Requires adjusting schedule regularly and working hours necessary to meet operational needs.
·        Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
·        Keyboarding, basic computer usage and operating controls.
·        Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing multiple floors of stairs; walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
·        Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
·        Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
·        Depending upon assignment may be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective gear and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others.
